We were tasked with crafting an internal tool for medical supply reps to keep track of potential and existing clients, in a comprehensive and intuitive database. Users are able to search for physicians by unique search facets, such as profession and practice type, among others, then view their detailed profiles and even favorite them for later reference.
This tool was made to replace more cumbersome methods of acquiring and tracking contacts, and work seamlessly into the reps’ current digital toolset.
The audience
We were aiming to help sales representatives in the medical supply industry, who were looking to keep track of their contacts and networks, and find future clients.
The challenge
The current method of finding, tracking and contacting potential clients for our users were very outdated, consisting of stacks of business cards and notes. We wanted to consolidate these methods and make a seamless platform that worked with their new hardware setup.
The solution
We thought hard about how to make the UI and format of the app quick and easy, and also considered the utility needed for better finger reach, and even supported a portrait mode. On top of the robust search facets, we wanted to keep the contact cards simple and easy to parse.
